What happens in Rainbow Potions?
Pepper bottles a new batch of vividly colored potions in her treehouse workshop. Carrot ignores the obvious lesson from their first adventure and samples one anyway. This time he tumbles into a rainbow-colored, catnip-like haze where a crew of imaginary feline companions joins the fun before the potion finally wears off.
The episode tells much of its joke through color, expression, and visual rhythm. It is a compact standalone story starring Pepper and Carrot, and it can be enjoyed without listening to episode 1 first.
Listening to a color-driven comic
Rainbow Potions depends on visual changes that ordinary text-to-speech cannot communicate. Sonoku's optional audio description identifies the changing colors, Carrot's reactions, and the imaginary cats while the score, effects, and spoken onomatopoeia follow the increasingly surreal scene. The original panels remain synchronized with the audio.
